This policy explains what data Workomatic ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep things minimal and transparent.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed) when you sign up.
• Workspace content: ideas, notes, tasks, specs, and other content you create in the Service.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser information collected automatically.
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we store only the last four digits of your card and billing history.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To communicate with you about your account, billing, and service updates.
• To detect and prevent abuse or security issues.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your workspace content to train AI models.
• We do not serve third-party advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: hosting, email delivery, and payment processing vendors who act on our behalf under contractual obligations.
• Legal requirements: when compelled by law, court order, or governmental request.
• Business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with prior notice.

5. Data Retention

We retain your workspace content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access and export your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are used only in aggregate to understand product usage.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn of such collection, we will delete the data promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
